There are three parts to a
session:
-
opening: during which you will tell me why
you have come and your objectives
-
creating: I will propose an art activity
based on what was (or wasn't) said
-
closing: this is a discussion about what
transpired.
I provide all art
materials – you will need only to bring your own sketchbook.
Do I have to be good at
art?
Not at all. Being an artist or knowing how to draw and paint is
not a pre-requisite.
Why would I choose Art
Therapy?
Because you'd like to live more creatively, because words aren't
enough to express the depth of your emotion, because you don't have
the right words to express what you are going through, or because
traditional therapy has failed.
Who am I?
Initially a graphic designer, I have been working as an Art
Therapist since I obtained my degree in Art Therapy from
Université Paris Descartes in 2008.
My training is essentially
psychodynamic although I prefer the word “integrative” because I am
open to concepts and techniques from different approaches.
I have a private practice
in Arles where I work with individual clients (children, teens and
adults). I also facilitate groups for different charities (Ligue
contre le cancer, ALOTRA, SAMSAH, Handicap International, Caritas)
and have run Art Therapy educational workshops in the Middle East
(Bahrain and Palestine) for the British Council Arts and Education
services.
I am bilingual: English
and French.
